THE MINIMAL
LANNA ESSENCE

/

Burirattana Hotel, our Minimal Contemporary Lanna-style boutique hotel, stands in the area of Chiang Mai OldTown. Its design is inspired by the beauty of the local landscape as well as surrounding artistic and cultural creations, such as Wat Phra Singh, Wat Chedi Luang, and Tha Pae Gate. Our crown jewel of the landmark is Khum Jao Burirat, a former governor’s residence built during the reign of King Rama V. The architecture is made of masonry and wood, which marks the influence of the West in the 20th century. Not only does the building reflect Chiang Mai’s prosperity in the previous century, but also clearly presents contemporary Lanna architecture.

The impressive design of the residence, together with the area’s ambience, comes our hotel’s interior decor in contemporary, minimalist style combined with Lanna accent. The warmth of wood and the carings, blending with the white color of the concrete, gives the impression of Lanna way of living in harmony with nature, in the center of the old city.

Our property offers 42 rooms in total with 5 different types, including the ones on the top floor, which allow you to enjoy the scenic view of the landscape from above. The Hotel idea Inspired by the building of Kum Jao Burirat with the craftsmanship of northern Thailand’s Lanna culture.
